#DriveMazda Through Amish Country

  |   Partnerships, Travels   |   2 Comments

I always heard stories about Amish Country, but I never really experienced it first hand. It was always “where those Little House on the Prairie people live.” I know…..Forgive me for my ignorance. But luckily, now that I’m based in Philly, I’m only a couple of hours away. So it was only right to make that road trip while I had the new Mazda3 S Grand Touring 5-door for a week.

I’m not going to lie, I was stoked to test drive the 2016 Mazda3 hatchback. Probably because it was DECKED out. Almond butter leather seats, bluetooth capabilities, a dope sunroof, heated seats (I’m border line anemic.. self-diagnosed of course), BOSE® speakers, the MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment system…. and much much more. I always love being blown away, especially when my expectations are kind of low. And I’ll admit, I was definitely wrong for underestimating how dope of an experience it was to drive the Mazda3 Hatchback.

I mean come on, when you think Hatchback, you think about a station wagon looking yuppie car, but to my surprise the sleek design of the 2016 Mazda3 was not only stylish but FLY! I would drive it and that’s not because I got a chance to work with the Mazda brand, it’s because the car design was on point and the features took it to a whole nother level.

Like most of my road trips, the music playlist GOT to be on point. This time was no different. We had a little less than a 3 hour drive to our destination, which for a music lover like me is approximately 45 songs or 15 songs played over and over again. I’m definitely one of those people that play the HELL out of a song. And don’t let me have a good sound system! With a Bose 9-speaker surround system, you already know the ride was loud and LIT!

The sense of control I felt whippin’ through the Pennsylvania countryside felt that of a luxury sedan. The fresh air against my skin was just the break I needed from the hustle and bustle of the city. Plus, anywhere that reminds of me of my grandparents farm in South Georgia always makes my heart warm.

Being the adventurer I am, it was only a matter of time before I took my journey to some back wood dirt road. Typically you wouldn’t think a car like the Mazda3 Hatchback would hold up, but it did! Extremely well, I might add.

We all know how important gas mileage is. Would you believe me if I told you, we made it there (with plenty of detours I might add) plus hours of exploring on ONE tank of gas. Score!

My experience driving the Mazda3 Hatchabck definitely exceeded my expectations. If you’re in the market to buy a new vehicle that doesn’t break the bank but comes with all the features of an expensive luxury car, I would highly suggest adding this car to your list of contenders!
