Sacrifice For the Life You Want

Often times ppl tell me how lucky I am that I get to travel as much as I do. Yes, it’s pretty amazing. God continues to show me favor. However the conversation typically ends there. We never get to talk about the sacrifice it takes to have this life. There is no reward without risk & sacrifice. One of the biggest sacrifices I’ve made is not having a place I call home. I’ve been couch surfing going on a yr & half. And couch surfing shouldn’t be confused with living on a couch. I live on family & friends couches for an avg of 2 wks at a time b/c any longer would wear out my welcome. Uprooting your life every 2 wks gets tiring. I have clothes spread out over 5 cities b/c when I leave where most of my things are stored I don’t know when I’ll be back and if money is low I’ll opt out of paying for baggage fees. Yes, I #cantstayput internationally by choice domestically not so much. When I decided to quit my job to be an Inspirational Explorer and build CSP, I knew figuring out how to pay rent every month would be too stressful when I wasn’t getting a guaranteed paycheck every 2wks. Gigs come and go. Up until now, I never realized how much your home provided a sense of zen and stability in your life. Nothing like taking a shower in your own shower or sleeping in your own bed or being able to cook naked or having all your things in one place, or being able to relax when you come back from being abroad. I mean there are times I just don’t want to be social but that’s rude in someone else’s house. Lol My drive to see my vision for CSP come to fruition outweighs the discomfort of my life. And to be clear my sacrifices shouldn’t be confused with complaints b/c frankly there is never a time to complain. This is the life I’ve created and I’m very blessed to have it. I thank God for it everyday. And plus it’s temporary. Just wanted to share some of the sacrifices I make. No matter what your dreams are or what life you want there will always be some sort of sacrifice along the way. Your sacrifices won’t look like mine, you’ll make your own. But it’s ok b/c when you’re walking in your purpose it’ll all be worth it!

I came across your website via an interview I saw on youtube.com. You have inspired me I am on a similar path, but different industry.

I think it is imperative for people to understand the life you want does not happen over night (if you are obtaining it the legitimate way).

Thank you for being honest and transparent in your journey. Your movement is about to be huge!
