As a kid I use to dance in the Morris Brown College Homecoming parade every year. My dance troop was called “Dazz with Jazz.” Our signature dance routine was to Michael Jackson- Working Day and Night. Crazy that that was over 15 years ago.
When Morris Brown closed I didn’t really process it. But now that I’m older and well into my Howard Alumni Status, exploring the abandoned campus hit harder than expected. Morris Brown was a major part of #Atlanta culture. As an #HU alum, I couldn’t imagine or even fathom that Howard would no longer be.
Not sure if Morris Brown will ever come back to be what it was. But as an alternative Tyler Perry or Oprah could make it into a large studio to shoot TV shows and film and add some type of film school to the equation. #cantstayput
