India for $197

Yes. You read that right. I was up late working in NYC two weeks ago and I took a social media break only to find this ridiculous tweet from the Flight Deal:

I was like. Wait. Hold up. Ain’t no way I’m about to pass this up without at least seeing about it. I went to their website and saw that the cheapest fare found ($197) was from Houston to Mumbai. Deals like that typically last 30 minutes to an hour. If that. (A little bit about theflightdeal.com–They themselves don’t sell airfare but they are the “breaking news” for cheap fares, travel hacks, glitches, deep discounts, travel info etc. They provide links and directions to the deals.)

They provided a link to the Vayama site. And show nuff–The $197 ticket was there. At that point I hit my girl, also a dope photographer, to see if she could swing this trip. By the time she responded and we discussed dates, the ticket on Vayama was gone. Tickets were back up to $800. I thought–Damn, must not have been meant to be. 35 minutes later my travel buddy Zim called me and told me about the same deal. I told her I had already tried but they were all gone. She reassured me they weren’t. At this point I’m in the bed but knew if she was seeing the fare it was worth making another attempt. She told me to try skyscanner.net this time. Low and behold the $197 ticket was there! I copped it immediately. I tweeted my come up in amazement. Another friend ended up seeing my tweet, I gave them the instructions and Voila! They had ticket to India for $197 too.

Amazing how things like this happen. When I shared the news the next day on Instagram someone said, “Only you find come ups like this.” I thought to myself–It’s not a coincidence. It’s not a coincidence that the universe allows this to happen. I’m building a brand built on traveling the world. I’m sacrificing to see my vision become a reality. No–it’s not a coincidence. It’s the universe responding to me and my efforts.

Moral of the story:

1. Follow The Flight Deal on Twitter

2. Whatever you put out into the universe the universe will send back to you. Good or Bad. Claim what you want!
